Bobby Banck

Tennis is flourishing in the River Valley thanks to Bobby Banck. Before joining Hardscrabble in 2005, Bobby served as coach to some of the world's best tennis players, including Monica Seles, former number one on the WTA Tour; Jimmy Arias, former number five on the ATP Tour; and Mary Pierce, former number three in the world. Bobby coached the USA Team in the 1990 World Team Cup in Dusseldorf, Germany. As the director of the Jimmy Arias Tennis Academy, Bobby managed the junior program, daily drills, strategy sessions, fitness program, and marketing. Bobby knows tennis.

Don Kissell

Hardscrabble Junior Tennis Academy is headed up by Don Kissell, who also provides private lessons, group lessons, and team clinics. This former high school state champion and number one singles player for Arkansas Tech University has been associated with Hardscrabble Tennis since 2002. He joined the staff full time in 2009. Watch out. Don's passion for the game is contagious.
